August 2008 Dear HFGS Families, Greetings for the 2008-09 School Year! To our returning families, we welcome you back and ask that you join us in extending a warm welcome to the new families in our school. We are blessed to have our new Pastor, Fr. Jim Bevacqua in our Parish. We give thanks for our Parish clergy and staff, and for Mrs. Marian Heintz, our Principal. We are grateful for the tireless efforts of our school faculty and staff in molding and developing the minds and characters of our children. We are honored to serve as your Parents Guild co-Presidents and, with the help of our fellow board members, we are committed to working with everyone to create a supportive environment that will continue to enhance the entire school community. We look forward to everyone’s involvement, support, and assistance to help raise funds for the school. There are fundraising events throughout the school year, and our biggest fundraiser, The 2008 International Fall Fiesta, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 19. We ask that you be generous with your time, talent, and resources. Please invite your friends and relatives to join us during our fun-filled day at the Fiesta! In keeping with our School Theme – Kindness in Words and Actions, we leave you with these words: "Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.
