"Benching" Children will be benched at the ten o’clock recess for the following infractions: • Late for school, or too late to attend 8:00 Mass on Tuesdays • Incorrect uniform (hair included) • Missing or unsigned Family Envelope on due date – the envelopes are collected in the classroom the very next morning – the day after they were distributed to the students • Other items not turned in on time (signed packets of paper) Being benched means that the student does not play during the morning recess period but instead reports to Room 13. When the 10:15 bell rings, the student proceeds to the line-up area. ![]() - Reminder to student regarding behavior - Student conference with teacher - Think slip (student thinks about his/her actions and what to do next time) - Call to Parents - Parent-teacher conference - Conference with principal - Contract The seriousness of the infraction determines the starting point.
